Anyone here lowered their gearing more than 16 - 38?

Either with a smaller front or larger rear sprocket?

Loads of people running 16-40 and even 16-41.
I'm running 16-40 and really like it!
You can use https://www.gearingcommander.com to see the difference in rpm certain ratios give.
Just change the max rpm to 9800 if you want to see the top speed.

I'm considering doing it so I can raise the revs at lower speeds to smooth things out.
As it is I don't find myself using 5th or 6th gears hardly at all.

I've seen these which seem a decent cheap way to try the lower gearing.

Was running 16/38 but have swapped rear to 41. What a blast to ride. Front wheel comes up easy though. Easier to ride around town as well.
