I don't know about you, but there are some big heads at the shop. We need all the wind protection we can get, and with the new Superduke you get no wind protection stock. Here is an alternative high windscreen that will cut down the wind on your noggin.

Ah ok, That's an 05-6 bike though which I didn't think you could fit a screen to without cutting the mask, clearly that is what he has done. I was more interested to know how he got the screen to sit away from the mask, must be some spacers of some kind.

looks like he has done it without cutting the fairing to me... there appears to be a metal? bracket that goes up from the front mounting screws (the countersunk ones) for the dash fill panel, then bend 180 degrees, and down to the mounting screw holes on the screen.
Maybe i'm just imagining it, but that's how I would do it to avoid cutting the fairing anyway (i wouldnt, i personally don't like the look of a screen on the 05/06).

Thanks mate, I think that's exactly right looking at the photo in detail

Looks to me like he added a crossbar to the handlebars (Renthal makes a bolt on crossbar for "fat" bars) and then fabricated the windscreen mounts to it. Pretty nicely done IMO, couple of thumbs up on that!

Is that a GPS mount on the right side from the crossbar tube to the windscreen? Multi-purpose windscreen mount, necessity is the mother of invention.

Also removes the requirement to drill into the mask. On the down side this now looks like i need a welder and fabricator rather than just a shop!

Assuming you want a screen to help reduce wind blast, why would it matter that you have drilled the mask?
Once it's fitted it becomes a part of the bike so when you sell the bike surely the screen can stay on or just put 4 small grommets in the holes.
If you need it to be as high as in the picture there must be a simpler way of mounting it.

I don't see the point of this screen really. Because there is a big gap between the OE headlight unit and the screen the wind blast will still come through the gap at quite a force into your helmet wouldn't it?
Plus it looks fugly.
