Just read an article where the tyres were 2 pounds lighter than competition .. The claims were that 2 pounds in the tyres is akin to having lightweight rims without the cost .... so wondering if anyone's running them and how they like em.
cheers

I have them on my 2010 SDR, like them a lot, they definitely do seem lighter, bike is more twitchy and turns in a bit easier. You need to ensure you have the correct pressures, they seem to be less forgiving of low pressure and feel squirmy with even a few PSI low, which kind of makes sense if they are made thinner than standard tyres.
They seem to have good grip so far, and they are wearing well also, so far so good with them.

I had them on my 07 CBR600RR track bike. I weighed them at the store and they were each about .5 lbs lighter than comparable tyres, IIRC. Not 2 lbs.
I used them primarily for track days and never had any problems with them. They seemed to work well w/o tyre warmers after a warm up lap.

I have them on my RC8 and dont really like them that much. I used to really love 2CT's but these dont seem as good. I have had the back step away a fair few times on dry roads, havent tried them in the wet, no big dramas but then I wasnt really pushing on when it happened.
I am sure it is only presonal preference but I wouldnt buy them again. Tyres these days are so good, and so expensive, it isnt worth riding on something you dont have confidence it.
I much prefer the Sportsmarts I have on the Superduke and I was the world's biggest Dunlop hater before them.

Didn't do it for me at all. I gave them away half way through their life. Also gave me a high speed wobble. 2CTs are still a good tyre but not the Pure for me.
