What style is preferred, low GP3 or Hi GP1
Would owners be ok with cutting stock headers to allow our pipe to then clamp in place.
Are the bikes the same from 200? To 2014
?

I'd be willing to cut the down pipes but as I have a titanium, full system I'd not cut this but rather find a spare set of steel pipes and use those so I had both options available to me.

Low level would be far simpler and cheaper to produce:

I'm looking into the future and contemplating altering my SD into a cafe racer, semi-retro look with a big aluminium tank, single seat and carrying on the clip-on handlebar, stripped down minimalist look. The twin underseat silencers are not what I really want and so I am looking for a small, minimalist exhaust system.
But, as comments above, I need it to meet track day noise tests, (max 95 dcb). But I'd be happy to buy two inter-changable silencers, one for track days and the other for normal use which could be a bit louder. Obviously the benefits of weight removed from high up on the bike is beneficial. But I'd also want to be persuaded that a big 'V' twin with a two-into-one system is as good as a conventional free-flowing twin system. It's not following the convention and I often wondered about this. If a 2-into-1 was any good surely all the history of V-twin exhausts would have adopted this? I've always looked down on seeing Ducatis and such like with these systems.
Here's what the SD could look like without the underseat exhausts. I like it.

After closer look I think the pipes will ideally need to be cut before the two-into one section, whilst the pipe run is horisontal, (so the AR down pipe would have a twin pipe join). If the pipe is cut after the stock pipe becomes one then the pipe direction is vertical and the AR pipe would have to do a very tight 90 degree bend to exit below the swing-arm. This would also result in two 90 degree bends very close to each other which cannot be good for free flowing exhaust gasses?
