i tried looking on forum, but didnt find anyinthing concrete...

i would like to know the main differences between those two bikes, or more likley if one is able to transform "old" 1.0 to be the same as 2.0

something simular what we all did to our 2005 when 2007+ came out...

thanks in advance guys...

Probably too early to tell yet without the bike being fully released.

to me the biggest differences (besides looks) is the electronics. Given that they SD-R 1.0 doesn't have the right hardware for the lean angle traction control/ABS I would guess that it won't be an easy upgrade if it's even possible at all. Given the cost of upgrading more than likely it'll be easier to sell the 1.0 model to someone that's happy with the "basic" package and upgrade to the newer bike if you have to have the latest and greatest.

I would hope that a few things like maybe cruise control would be able to be retrofitted, but from what I've read the quick shifter is a system built into the motor so that's a no go for "upgrade", the lean angle stuff doesn't have the right sensors on the older bike so that's a no go.

but that's guesses and from what I've read when they have interviewed technical folks from the factory about the new bike and being able to upgrade
