I have a SDR that went down on the left side. The only damage that amounts to anything, is a bent shift lever, and the frame tabs that hold the
shifter mechanism are bent slightly toward the swing arm at @ a 5 degree angle. Can these tabs be straightened without breaking, and if so,
how would i go about straightening them? The bike rides as before, and shows no signs of damage to the frame itself.
Thanks.

I've crashed my SD a heap of times at tracks and the footrest hangers always bend slightly with a long slide - especially as my footrests are not folding.
The frame lugs are pretty soft and will bend back to the correct position quite easily. It the beginning of all this I was scared they were going to snap off but if you are gentle and go in really small amounts then they are fine. Just rig up something very long to give you plenty of leverage and gently bend the lug back into alignment.
Good luck.

I think all of us that have put outr bikes down have done this. Especially if rear sets are fitted.
