Anyone know a good dyno shop around Bris/Gold Coast that works with TuneECU or at least knows Superdukes.

Hey mate, Got my bike back from Procycles dyno! Very happy!. I have only been for a wet ride so far but its feels much much smoother, and I can certainly feel more refined power. The throttle respone is great too.

He knows superduke engines really well and is more than happy to use TuneEcu.

Thats a great result. I'll be very happy if I get those sort of figures.

How much did they charge for the tune?

Did he have any comment/opinion about the sec. flies being removed?

Its $550 for a dual cylinder map.

Others have commented that the removal makes the throttle a little smoother and reduces engine braking. It also appears to make the motor big down a little at lower rpm while giving it (in my limited riding) more of a rush in top end. I ride with a lot of sportbikes so appreciate the extra top end buzz

I was umming and ahhing about the removal of the secondaries, even put them back on the night before the tune. But in the end I decided to take them off. You loose a small amount of oomph when you open the throttle wide in the lower revs. But.. Much smoother! and the throttle control is superior when you get on the power when exiting a corner. Its even smoother riding in the straight line, it can coast along much nicer too. I ride in the city with plenty of slow tight corners and I have no regrets takeing those fly's off.

After having a think about getting a new tune and considering that at $550, thats $100 for every horse found, their expensive bloody horses.

As I am mainly interested in cutting lap times, my hard earned would be better spent elsewhere.

I reckon $300 for a Anotori Quickshifter and $250 for a set of Vesrah race pads will take more time off my laps than 5 horses and a poofteenth more torque.

Maybe I'll go the tune after that........Hmmm....or maybe a set of Pirelli Diabalos......or...

Yeah well, it's actually over $900 when you include the airbox (the primary reason for the tune).

My initial run (different Dyno) was 114hp and now I'm at 128hp so I'm lookin at under $60/hp. And considering the new airbox and tune have pretty much transformed the bike I say worth every penny.

But for sure if youre interested in track time then suspension/quickshifters and like may be a better spend.

If thats a genuine 14 horses you've found, then that well worth the effort and expense.

My bike will get the wheel of the deck in third with a pull on the bars under full throttle, so I think most of my horses are running in the same direction already.

I would love to get it on a dyno just to see whats really going on, but for me right now I think there's more speed to be found with $500 going towards other go fast bits than on the dyno.
