hello and merry xmas everybody

Does anyone have any alternative for R&G racing ? They are quite expensive imo.

KTM Powerparts rearsets makes the crash protectors unnecessary, if that would be an option.

Hello everybody

I finally went for R&G Aero but the ones with the "extension" base for the ones with longer legs. I would love to get feedback from other owners as well.

Pros:
- price @148£ (instead of 249 for evotech)
- look/style (they look great and their shape is catchy for sure... best bobbins I 've seen at this aspect)
- its R&G and I its been personally tested in hard crashes (I hope these will remain intact)

Cons:
- the welded assembly that extends the bobbin's position is placed on the frame. The material is quite hard and it can possibly damage the frames paint or maybe do even more serious damage. Of course there is a foam between the welded base and the frame, but in the event of a good crash I don't know if this is enough to leave the frame intact
- even though the model I purchased is supposed for tall people, my knees are touching the bobbins in hard braking or when I am sitting too front. That's quite uncomfortable and maybe even dangerous for injury

after a couple of days with them I can definitely shout that their positioning sucks. It's supposed they are for tall people with long legs but my knees hit the bobbins all the time, either at a hard braking or in a bump. I will definitely hurt my knees with these shit so I will uninstall them. If you are over 1.86 just go for another pair of crash protectors.

Such a same cause I love R&G products and these protectors look great.

i have the GSG Frame Sliders from Germany installed on mine. Expensive but I believe are worth the price. They do have a military discount which saved me 55 bucks.

I had the most expensive of the two, the ones for riders with longer legs...

I had R&G aero crash protectors in my previous bike and they were effetive and a bit stylish.

For my SDR i chose ktm's crash protectors. Unfortunatelly they haven't arrived yet(i have to call the dealer to get an update) so i can't give you any feedback.
