Hi there,

a few guy asked me if I can produce some belly pans like the one on my SD:

So now I have found the time to think about it, and if there are a few people wanting to buy it, I will be able to produce a small series, as it is a lot of work to produce the kit.

But some questions have to be cleared before:

1. The belly pan will not be cheap in production, as there are a lot of parts to fabricate. If I will produce this thing, it has to be perfect, and will be delivered as a plug and play kit, with all the necessary parts to mount it. The belly pan itself is riveted and bonded after powder coating. Also included are all the coloured parts on the images for holding the bellypan, ignition, horn, electrical stuff as shown in the pictures. Also the rubber bushings to encouple the bellypan from the motor vibrations, and all bolts to mount. A manual to mount will be included also.
Also don´t forget: the battery has to be moved away from it´s place in the belly pan, which is not such an easy thing to do (got mine under the seat now).

The estimated costs to fabricate this will be at 250 € + shipping for a powder coated set ready to mount – not cheap, I know, but think about that this is not like taking the standard belly pan of and replace it through another. All parts are made of aluminium and powdercoated in matt black, except the four holders of the belly pan, they are made of V2A and will not be powdercoated (can´t be seen when mounted).

2. Only SD-R or SD with aftermarkets headers:
I have mounted the belly pan on a standard SD with the standard headers. I cannot guarantee if it will fit on a SD-R with the akra headers or some aftermarket headers like remus etc., as it is designed to fit with the smaller standard headers. A solution for this problem could be that somebody sends me some photos to make a rough estimate for the space needed on an SD-R. If I see that mounting is possible, the parts will be delivered without powder coating, and can be checked on the bike to fit exactly – maybe a few edges have to grinded a little bit. The powder coating and riveting and bonding afterwards should not be problem to be done for somebody who is able to move the battery *lol*. As not powder coated, this kit will be a bit cheaper than the above version.

3. Custom colours:
The belly pan itself consists of a few parts that are put together AFTER getting coloured (=powdercoated). If somebody wants a different colour for the bellypan, it could be delivered in pieces without powdercoating/riveting/bonding, as described in point 2 (which will also mean the lower price). A polished version would also cool I think...
