out for a ride, engine light came on, stayed on, then after a few miles started flashing, got home switched off, re started no light, have run it on tick over from cold to hot (4 bars) no light. Do u reckon safe to ride ? and it was just a clitch or the start of something ?

Some error codes just become a solid light until you stop and put it in nerutal and then they flash. The ambient pressure sensor in the headlight mask def does this.

FI light tends to be telling you a problem with an electronic part of the engine. A sensor or coil pack ect ect. If the bike continues to run ok and it''s not giving a light now chances are its an intermittent fault. Keep an eye on it. Obviously it's the oil and lack of coolant light you need to really worry about. Saying that I'm on my 4th mojito and a biffta so don't take my word for anything
