I've had 4 superdukes in the past as some of you may know, along with 8 other ktms. Most recently a 690 duke 4.

Anyway, I've been having deep and meaningfulls about a Superduke in the last few months, but the right deal with Couchie came up and I pounced on his newly purchased superduke after he'd tested it for me at donington this week.

Its a 2007 early shape model in anthracite grey and only 7500 miles on it.

Me and the lads are off to Germany and Spa mid next year so I wanted something with a bit more. I also found after riding Crusts 990 recently the grunt is quite addictive and whilst I couldn't throw it around the lanes with the same careless abandon, I still really enjoyed it.

I get back to the UK on Sat evening and then have 2 hours swapping bits off it on Sunday before meeting up with Couchie on Monday to collect the new bike.

Good to have you back even if it is short lived. You are the perfect example of the reason why people should hang on to their SD's, the sellers remorse sets in and you jone's to get one back. There have been a few motorcycles that this allies to and the SD is a prime example. Be strong and hold on. I am now on my fourth V-Strom with the SD still finding a place in my stable. I do find my weekend romping dedicated to my Duke II as the SD's legs require faster sweepers or racetrack forays to get the pleasure out of as of late. Still a keeper.
Welcome home.

Finally a bit of wit has returned, welcome back to a somewhat staid SD.net.
Did they make that model in 2007? Thought the ugly front end was only used in 05-06.
7500 ml is barely run in, good pick up.

That's a 2006 model in probably the best SD colour ever made. Welcome back Weeksy and get rid of those fork reflectors.

Ah, errrm Thank you for the warm words. I ended up not buying it! Not ready to part with the 690 yet! It was a mate, so no broken hearts, I just bought him a little present to apologise.

I still love SDs but I love the 690 too.

Scotty, whenever you're about mate, Thurs and Fri arguably best for me.

Weeksy has progressed to another level....... once upon a time he changed his bikes after only weeks of ownership......... now he's progressed to getting rid of them before he even buys them........

So this is still in my garage, it's my 5th sd too.

Did donington last week on it and it just didn't feel like my old superdukes, rookie error but suspension was miles out and gearing way too tall, I've remedied all that and I'm taking it to Cadwell next week.

Earlier this year I bought an s1000r for track work and it turned out to be the most unstable bike I've used on track, in pro mode with slicks on it tied itself in knots I couldn't wait to get rid of it, that's why I'm back on a 990 sd even after also having a 1290 earlier this year !
