Extended warranty a year and half into ownership

I've never purchased an extended warranty but for the 1290 I did. First-year model, KTM can be finicky, warranty transferable which helps resale in some cases. Now it's 1.5 years into ownership and the usual little things such as broken tail light is not covered by the dealer's selected 3rd party warranty provider. Zurich. Thinking of getting money back. It's about 75% of initial buy-in ($950).

Everything is excluded except transmission, engine and suspension. The good stuff. The big stuff.

How many of you with extended warranties have used them on a street bike?
How many of you with 1290 had issues with the engine, tranny or suspension after the 1 year factory warranty expired?
