how was the fuel consumption !..oooh eek !
Lol bloody terrible.

Example fuel stops
Superduke 20.00 euro
Panigale 18.50
Rsv4 17.25
Fireblade 15.00

By far the thirstiest bike out of the group.

hardly a fair comparison!! three faired, high geared sports bikes against a naked street fighter...... at 100mph they're only at 50-60% of their top speed.... SD's at 75% and the aerodynamics of a bungalow!

Consider the difference an investment in satisfaction...bet they are making payments.

How about a 1999 speed triple which was on par with the Blades

Interesting. From everything I've heard, the V4s (RSV4 and Tuono V4R) are pigs getting 30 mpg (US) or less. The last Tuono I test rode showed 22.7 mpg on its clocks (its the only bike that I've ever seen that displays mpg on the clocks). The salesman at the dealership (Ducati, MV, Triumph, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi) confirmed that the V4R was the thirstiest bike they sold. My SD, after Bazzaz fitment, easily averaged 35-40. So, It may be time for a remap?

I can confirm the 17l tank lasts about 90 miles on the TV4 compared to 110 on the SD, (so I have read not actually done a whole tank on the road).

Only fair comparison in my opinion is to fit aftermarket exhausts on all bikes and map them as well since all bikes are mapped less than perfect because of environmental regulations.

Also, my husqvarna smr450, zx636r and SD all did around 15km per litre of fuel on the road with a sporty but smooth riding style. SMR and SD have been wheelied by occasion

My SD is shit it does about 30 mpg ,trundling or on one wheel
My blade does 45 mpg , or 70 + in bimble commuter mode
My TDR 250 does 52 mpg getting its tits whapped off

So 4 times the capacity and less than half the consumption
Makes it the winner

Do wish it was more economical
Nearly as bad as its reliability issues

Shouldha been called the KTM crack

I couldn't give a stuff what consumption I get on a bike cos it makes me laugh. In a car on the other hand?... I've never driven so slow to get no more than 40mpg.

What you need is a free bike from your workplace that does 60mpg in town, this really helps when your other bike is an rc8 that used to do 25mpg on the commute.

I agree on a 2200 trip with a
1098
R1 08
BMW K1300s
848
800vtec
I put more juice in than anyone and it was all same pace 100 ish only the 1098 had a teeny tank so I never got to light on stuff as he needed to stop every 100miles
Iv had a BSD remap too which has made it at least 10% more effeciant!!

the light dosent come on till 85 miles now ,still takes £13 to fill it up
so is better fuel more economical ?
