I have an 08 SD I changed the rear sprocket to a 41 I belive. My bike studders and can sometimes die trying to go slow to take like a slow right hand turn at a stop sign. Im thinking maybe I should go up to a 43 R sprocket? The gears just seem so short, if I pop it up on second i just run right out of gear really quick. Dont want to be over revving it on the highway either though. Maybe I need to look back into my Tune ECU and change maps or something. Opinions appreciated.

Try 42 rear, 16 front.

Why are you getting a bigger sprocket if you don't like shorter gears? I'm confused

Smaller front sprocket or larger rear sprocket is lower/shorter gearing.

That's what I'm saying... so why is he trying to get a bigger rear sprocket?!

Btw, I'm using 16/40 now... Golden

16/39 compromise...
Slip the clutch if you're going that slow, it's not a Harley
