What do you need immediately to get back on the road?

Just the gear selector and left clutch levers. Not currently commuting on bike every day so I'm not in a super rush. Just pissed, embarassed and gutted that it'll cost me....

Weirdly though it was quite an exciting experience. However, not to be repeated in traffic or too often

I ground my gear lever off before in a crash, I straightened it, ground off the toe piece and replaced with one of these:

Good for a spare anyway.

May be i just go after-market ebay levers.

The main one has gotta be the beer selector lever... oh yeah that should read gear!

To replace the ripped renthal bar grip? Think I'd struggle with that.

Oh! .... to bend the levers back? Dammit. Good idea. Will try it. Thanks 47

best not to drive when you are that pissed. i had a day like that but was in my pickup. it was one thing after another added up to a monumental "F em all!" moment, which happened after paying a toll (one to many sarcastic remarks from the operator). i just put it to the floor which broke the back end loose and i just stayed on it going up through the gears into third going like 10mph. the backend was right, left, right, left, to full lock where i backed out of it after almost going into a drainage ditch, it hooked up and had it been a motorcycle i would have launched to the moon. i felt kind of stupid for losing it and oddly vindicated at the same time.
at least you didnt hurt yourself too badly. what did the nighbor do to piss you off?

Sounds like fun! I got flipped off onto my side - left leg/hip feels a bit iffy, elbow grazed. Some I'm walking pretty slow which causes a lot of irritation in London but now that I've had a couple of pints of ale I don't care.

Our neighbour is just unreasonable - he gets pissy if I fire up the bike in the morning. I could understand and symapathize if it happened all the time. However, now that we've got two children (one being 6 weeks old), I hardly ever go out on the bike. So the guy is being a prick. He came over once and had a fairly agressive whinge as I was warming the bike up (and discovering that I had a slow puncture) - I just apologised politely and said that I'd be on my way shortly. The guy has some serious issues that I suspect have less to do with me than to do with his life. If he'd come over more reasonable in the first place I'd be taking greater steps towards minimizing the noise for him. But he came over all fired up. Complete idiot - not just my opinion, wife agrees.

That unlucky dude. The highside and the neighbour. Hope you find what you need.

I've got a neighbour who likes to come out when I start the bike too... just to listen. Needless to say we get on fine.

If I had a shirty neighbour who was an arsehole, I would start it up all the time just for giggles.

Just say "I cant hear you" as you rev the bike a little more.

CoyoteMoto.com will do the black plastic bar end bungs. And they do all frame bung with a warranty. You crash it, just send the old ones back and you'll get a new set.

Tell him Gordon sent you and he'll look after you.

Ok so here's the damage:

Not really all that bad TBH.

GP says I'll stop limping soon too

Mike - still interested in those levers and the mirror. Gonna get the gear shift lever from AMS4KTM.
