God, that thing sounds horrible - like George Jetson's space ship.

Edit: Now come on. Tell me it doesn't sound the same.

People have said electric vehicles will take over for years but the problems regarding range and time to charge hasn't been solved fully yet.
When prices drop and the range increases I might buy one but half of the fun with combustion engines is tuning and that disappears with electric motors.

I might have been in too much of a black and white/literal frame of mind when I made the comment about tuning.

I took tuning to mean the work that those with the smarts and experience to figure out how to modify the intake, electronics, exhaust, shock valving, etc. to improve the performance of a vehicle. I, and I'll bet most buyers, have no desire to do that.

I have, however, never had a car, truck or motorcycle that I haven't modified. I'll buy tunes and put them on only if I have to. I'll survey the aftermarket exhaust options, etc. and buy the one that I think best. To me that's not tuning.

And, as forest says, there's always going to be someone who figures how to improve the performance any manufacturer has built. You know that's going happen to an electric bike, just like it does with the gas ones.

BTW robban, tells us how your Zero test ride went!

What worries me with this crap is if in a crash it caught on fire you would have no chance of putting the fire out plus it would probably burn for a week.
Harley might even sell one!

TBH the thing looks better than any other Harley IMO,,,,I think they should slide a "new" design twin in there,,,,,, ,,,and by the time everything goes electric I'll be dead and it wont matter anyway,,,,,
