Go round waving a gun in peoples faces and this is the outcome to be expected.

Seems like a super stupid way of stealing bikes.

Unles they use special amunition then its best not to stand behind someone being shot at close range even with a hand gun so discharging in a public space (ohh errr) is a bit risky.

I didn't really see where the cop came from but that is what I call instant justice!!

He was in the jeep style vehicle opp. Must have seen the whole thing. You're right though he was right in the firing line of that cop when he took him down. They don't fook about in Brazil.

One of my best friends lives in Brazil and had to give up riding because of the prevalent bike thefts such as this one. Motorcycles are super expensive there, $40k USD for a 1000cc bike. Throw in an ineffective justice system, take away the guns, and you're a sitting duck for crime cause the bad guys all have guns.

I would have more respect for the police over here if that was how they dealt with things like this.
