I'm looking at getting a small run of aluminium tanks made and want to gauge interest.
They will be expensive but lighter and hold more fuel and look the same.
There may be a short delay while prototype testing is done on an original.
They should be around $2000-$3000AUD

I'm also looking at making new, lighter frames also... Also stupidly priced as the materials are expensive.

I can work out estimates on weights but the price is going to be high as we have to hand make them.
We are talking kilos off the weight though

If your thinking of doing frames and stuff you should look into building and marketing an Australian made motorcycle.
Make it a street fighter with a 1300 three cylinder engine or maybe a 1400

Wasn't Willh making one of these for himself? I know a fab guy in California that is pretty good with an English wheel, specializes in retro seat pans and tanks for the cafe racer crowd, I've discussed this with him and he thinks he could do it for quite a bit less.
