I have a crazy idea to take the duke on the ice this season potentially. I just got this idea in my head and it looks like its possible if I remove the fenders or put some kind of spacers on them to clear studs. I'm open to any ideas at the moment. My brother in law has a cousin who ice races a Ducati and i might pick his brain on how to pull it off. This won't be done anytime soon as the local lake hasn't frozen over yet but that just gives me time to plan for it. We are supposed to have the coldest winter here in a long time.

Ice looks like pretty safe fun, IF you can ignore the cold. tyres might be a problem.

Does anyone have a spare set of tyres they can give me? I'll pay shipping and paypal costs. If anyone is near Chicago I may be willing to drive a little.

What about this?
A while back, (in 2010), there were pictures on here from a guy who'd fitted ice tyres to his 990 but the pictures have been deleted.
