Is this wheel compromised?

I was checking these out, but am curious as to whether damage like this compromises any integrity or if it is just purely cosmetic. Can some of you more wise people let me know?

If you are friends with a veterinarian,he can ultra sound the wheel to check if the carbon fibre layers are fractured. That is what I did with my BSTs after a massive pot hole trauma and sure enough the scan showed up a fracture. There was very little outside damage showing but after the tyre went down slowly after hitting the crater,I thought it was best to check.I took the wheel to a local guy who makes a lot of the carbon fibre oars used in world class rowing and it was his idea about ultra sound scanning it at the vet.Just on a side note,if I had hit this huge pot hole with my standard alloy wheels,I would be lucky to keep the bike up right.Carbon fibre wheels are extremely strong but once fractured cannot be repaired. If the gloss layer has lifted any where and you are not sure if you have scratched or marked them through a tyre change them get them checked.Cheers
