Just taken the 990 off the road for this year (SORN'd it), that's it....!
No more fun until it warms up and dries up again.... maybe August.
Anyone else ride lanes (or single track for our US/Aussie buddies), or Enduro/MX?

I'm the same, mine SD is all tucked up safe and sound on trickle charge ready for the better weather. My friend and riding buddy has a speed triple that he still takes out and pesters me to but with how the roads are now, a hours run out results in a few hours cleaning and re oiling when you get home. Not worth the hassle, plus no matter what kit I wear I sooner or later feel the cold.

Was too looking at a laning toy, there's a club near me and apparently a load of decent routes too. It's something I'll be definately looking into.

Just been out playing on mine, get so much grip still from the PR4s.

And I still wear my summer leathers just with thermal top and trousers. I have finally had to admit defeat for the first year and edge closer to some winter gloves, they're not full on thick toasty things so I still get good feel of the controls but my hands couldn't stand the summer gloves anymore.

As for cleaning and oiling everything.... yeah I really should look after my bike more but meh

Lanes ? That's a new term for me. Single track is a term I just heard within the last year or so. Trail riding is what I always called it. Am I on the same page?
My 1290 SDR & the other street bikes are in hibernation. Late Sept until the snow is to deep to ride in I will try to get out once a week on a dirt bike. Was out last week with some younger riders. Had to ride 2 km through single track mud to get to the open sandy area. Man, what a struggle. Fell off at least 6 times that day. Most on our way back when I just said fook it & let the bike fall. 1st gear offs.
Single tracking/Lanes are a blast on the right trails. Having the right bike for the ride makes it more enjoyable.

I hope your not riding 500 lb + motorcycles while doing this?

Yeh Lanes, which is short for "Green Lanes" - legally driveable unsurfaced highways, which can often look like part of an enduro circuit around here as the rain erodes them so badly.
Yes, the correct term is Trail Riding but TBH I haven't used that term in so long I'd forgot it applies.
