I'm looking at picking up a orange 2008 SD 990 this weekend as it will be my first 990. I currently ride a 690 Duke and love it! But my question is that every 08 I've seen has a black swing arm. But the one I'm going to look at has the silver one like on the 07. Is that anything I should be worried about? Is there any other ways to for sure tell the difference between years? Anything I should look for that could mean it was wrecked and rebuilt? The bike is very clean, I went and looked at it a week ago. Any help is appriciated! Thanks in advance guys

I understand that very early 08's came with the silver swing arm.

Did you look at the VIN# and manufacturer's date on the frame?

Yes they are of 08. I just wanted to make sure this thing wasn't crashed and had a 07 swing arm put on. Other than that the bike is one of the cleanest I've seen for sale.
