I just received these links in an e-mail from KTM NA. Nothing new. It appears that not even the new Adventure is coming our way.

Surely they aren't going to say anything about bikes that haven't even been formally announced yet? My KTM stealer knows nothing about when they are seeing new Adventure or SD yet.

C'mon man - you know the drill. That's non-news. Pretty much all (nearly ...) european motorized conveyance manufacturers like to keep the brand-spankin' new models from arrival at our shores for 6-months to a year, UNLESS those products are either target marketed for N/A and/or the company is absolutely dependent on that product's success here.

And Klinky's point is also well taken.

I can say without reservation, that KTM's success (financial) is not dependent on US sales of the Adventure or same-engined hooligan toys. The stealers control what comes here - and what hasn't sold well historically, doesn't get pushed.

Besides, WTF do you care? When BMW comes out with the naked version of the S1000RR, you'll be first in line for a trade in, right?

I was at my ktm dealer today getting the oil check hose thing replaced, he said he saw the 350 Freeride at the last trade show and it might be coming to the states, but no idea when. I'm not exactly sure, but I think the dealers vote on what models they want imported for the year because they have to stock them. If they don't sell in the year then they eat the cost. That's why we will most likely never see a brand new SD here again since most americans don't like naked bikes and you can still find 2007 models at dealers. But, with gas prices still rising and ktm bikes becoming more popular everyday, you never know.
