Lithium or Lead Battery?

So amidst all my problems it would seem my 8 cell ballistic battery is done for.

In conjunction with buying a new battery I'm also going to buy this http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/catal ... -Rectifier just in case that might be an issue as well.

I already bought a new TPS sensor and will replace it as soon as I have those things installed as well.

Anyways since this lithium battery crapped out on me, I'm not 100% sure I want to buy another one.

Any of you guys have recommendations of a reliable battery I can buy?

EDIT: Thought I might add, when I had the battery tested, it showed around 13.4 sitting, and 11v under load. But yeah the bike wont crank over.

Try the new regulator/ rectifier, I run the same battery and have no problems it turning over. You could just have a bad connection some where under the cowl. Good luck.

Sitting my battery shows 13.1 volts and under load it's 11.8 volts. I don't have any problem starting I'd try the upgraded rectifier first and then get a new battery if the problem persists. I am still on the stock rectifier myself.

I wonder if I do in fact have a faulty regulator and it also made my battery go bad.

Longevity is AGM, regarding rectifier, well if busted than don't waste your cash on new battery, also don't forget if HID than you are likely to need a strong battery and good rectifier, while they draw less voltage they are current hungry.

I had the same issues. New battery. Sat for a few days and would not start. Charged battery and replaced regulator. 13.2V and would not turn over. Replaced battery and all is as it should be. I had a Ballistic as well.

I installed a YUSA YTZ14S. I understand that a Walmart Everstart ES9BS is also the correct size, for substantially less money.
