Map change if refitting the standard can?

There's a chance (strong ) that I'll need too put the standard can on for a 98db day at Donington as the FMF "baffles" look like they will do bugger all - looking at a custom baffle though.

If I need to pop the standard exhaust on will I need a different map? The bike is a fat SDR with Motohooligan airbox, sas removed, PCV and currently FMF Apex cans.

Will it need remapping for the day?

I have good news and bad news:

From No Limits site re Donnington 28th.

"As all customer will know who has booked this event, it is up on our website as a 98db quiet day/3 group. Today is has come apparent that a faulty template loaded on the website for the event is a quiet day but due to incorrect details programmed in for lower numbers, it is in fact a full noise day which allows more bike on track and a oversight on our behalf.
Obviously as it is noise restricted, we can not allow that amount of bikes out at the same time or we will exceed the noise levels so we have to reduce 40 bikes across 3 groups.

So we have options and here they are.

1, run 4 groups still at 20 min sessions with less bikes on track at the same time. We have made arrangements with circuit to run all day so you will get 6 sessions in AND WE WILL CREDIT YOU £30.
2, If this is unsatisfactory, you can choose to transfer your booking to Rockingham on the same day and we will CREDIT YOU WITH £40.
3, If neither of the options is acceptable, we will give you a full refund.

As it is our fault, we are running this event at a cost/loss due to meeting refunds and the extra costs of laying on circuit staff to cover dinner time so you still get your tracktime. As it is still 20 min sessions, you will still have adequate time for your lunch.

We openly admit this is our mistake and apologise. We do not want to ring 40 customers and cancel their trackday or just cancel the whole event as we know customers have made arrangements, So we decided to put these options to you and you can decide what you want to do. Hopefully everybody will be able see, we are doing our level best to rectify this problem".

WE WILL BRING EXTRA HARIBO'S AS WELL !

Ah my bad.

I would just keep the map as is, it's only for the day. I think long term it would damage the cat mind.

that was a confusing message form NL was it mostly in english?

i had trouble with noise at donny with akro evo cans, baffles in. tried a few things to quiten it down but it didn't work.

if you have your own tune ecu then it'll only take a few extra minutes when changing cans to flash the ecu, i would have thought as the stock cans are so restirtced it would be worth a re map, as it's quick to do.

Well I did see you pad a PC5 fitted and would only take moments to change the map, but the fact you have an airbox may mean it may still run poorly with stock can.

I would just take a laptop and change it around as the day progresses if you feel it needs it.

Personally I'd just chuck the std cans on for the day and not worry about re-mapping.

98db seems quite high! my bike with LV's and no baffles (just to see) read 94db through rev range with various amounts of R hand exuberance, ~6 ft away on a free db app. Perhaps you can test your current setup as well to get an idea of how loud it actually is?

I'd take the standard cans with me,leave the FMF cans on,get chatting to the noise tester and try and blagg it with only pulling 4 thou RPM. I managed full Akra's without baffles on a quiet day at Donington that way, just get em talking about none bike related shit.

there is no static test for donny, just a ride by
and they're more strict than ever
think there is a threat of noise abatement
