Yo,

Has anyone tried both and how do they compare? Need to choose a tyre for a Euro trip of around 2k miles and it'll be full of twisties so which is best?

Can't comment on the Metzler but in my experience the Pirelli really suits the SD and is perfect for grip and feel. Probably both would be fine but I'm sure you wouldn't be sorry if you pick the Corsa.

Between Rosso Corsa and M7RR better Metzeler.

The Pirelli has got very high grip and is a very good tyre, but always with hot asphalt.

The M7RR maybe is not so racing tyre but works very well in cold and wet conditions.

Don`t know witch country are gonna visit but here near the pyrenees rains a lot

Haven't tried the Pirellis but the M7RR has great feel for road riding and is very confidence inspiring. Like Edorta says it is really good in the wet and at lower temperatures too. Also the one I have on is wearing very well with not so much of a flat spot in the centre even though I have done at least 500 hundred fast motorway miles on it which usually shows on softer tyres.

i had a corsas on my street triple and and the rear was eaten in around 3-4k miles, can't imagine it lasting too well when given an extra 80hp to cope with. Perhaps something along the lines of a rosso 2 would be more suited?

For street use I have 100% confidence in the 7RR on my 1290.
