Read a lot of positive impression about M7 tyres, so planning to buy them.

Enyone have experience with them on SD?

What lovest prices you have in your country?
I found cheapest set for 245 E in Slovenia (17 euro delivery for Croatia)

That's what I've been running on my bike for the last year.

I usually have Racetecs in the Summer for track days and sometimes tried to run them through winter but in the cold and wet they are truly shit and put the fear of God up you on roundabouts etc. After a while you loose all your confidence riding in the rain and I eventually swap over to something else (In the past M5s) and then swap back to Racetecs when it gets warmer.

But I have had these M7s on and they are really confidence inspiring in the wet and just feel really good. In the summer when the roads were dry I never found them less than great and I more or less decided to keep on using these all the time because they wear much better than the Racetecs. I've done about 2000 miles this year on them so far and can't see much signs of wear, at least not the usual flattening off in the centre after a few hundred miles on the motorway. I never got a chance to try them on the track though but as Spring comes I will have no problem going and using them for a trackday. I would expect that for my ability they would be fine.

I paid £124 for the rear and £94 for the front but that included the fitting and balancing too.

As you know, tyres are a very personal choice based on several factors, but the Sportec M7RR gets rave reviews pretty much everywhere. I last ran Metzelers on my 2009 Triumph and went away from the brand/line until this year. Whew, don't know why I ever left. It's my favorite tyre for my riding area. I rarely ride in rain, no track, weigh about 75kg. I purchased mine from rockymountainmc.com

I run the Sportec RR's on the 1290 and they have been great in both wet & dry. On my second rear tyre now, first one lasted about 4000km

I'm on the M7RR too and I can't fault them. Wet or dry they are confidence inspiring, with good lastability. Prior to this I had the Z8 interact, also from Metzeler. I won't be changing brands any time in the future. Price is comparable to other major brands, but they feel already like they'll be longer lasting than the Pirellis I had used previously.

I must admit i was very tempted to try the M7 RR when i swapped tyres in May 2015 but hadn't seen many "real" reviews (by real riders not magazines) at the time so i opted for the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and they're awesome and seem to be wearing very well. I don't ride much in the wet and when i do i'm steady away. I'll certainly consider them though when the time comes
