Hey guys..

Removed tank yesterday to remove the flies and there appears I have a missing hose OR is this barb supposed to be "unhosed"..

It's at the rear of the tank near fuel pump.. I searched high and low for the hose that plugs onto it.. but couldn't find it..

In the pic below it's in the top right hand corner...

On US SD's this hose fitting would be connected to a hose that would run back to the can in the arsse where the tools are normally stored under the seat.
It is a vent that is vented under your gas cap. Get a 3 foot length of tube and connect it to this hose barb fitting. Open the fill cap and blow into the hose. You will hear air out of one of two vents under the cap. The other vent fitting is on the left side of the tank on the bottom near the front. I took my can in the arsse out and connected the rear fitting hose barb to tubbing and ran it down the left side near the shifter with the other tubes. If you ride the rear wheel often, I think you need to run your tubing up front and high, and then down to keep the gas from running out this vent ..but I might be wrong on that....others should chime in to set me straight.
