Went to the London DGR yesterday and the was not just one, but three of the new Norton dominators there. All bikes are numbered and these were number 10, 15 and 58. They are really beautiful to look at - even better than the photographs. Only thing that doesn't seem right to me is the exhaust system - it's very big and ugly and out of proportion to the rest of the bike.

Probably trying to replicate the Commando look?

Did all three have that exhaust? The press release was much nicer

Reading that report it seems like all these three are the more expensive SS version with the aluminium tank but with the factory road legal exhausts fitted. They all came supplied with the free flowing race exhaust though. It would be the first thing I did if I had one - take those monstrosities off and fit the better looking one. Sure it would sound better too.

Yes a beautiful bike but you would think for £24,500 they would fit a hand stitched seat instead of £10 worth of race foam stuck on it

For not a lot more money, especially when you get up into this price range, by definition owners of bikes like this won't exactly be on the government dole, I'd rather have a real Dominator and my 1290 SDR. Way under 100hp for a new bike of that price? I have about $1,000 more into a real Domi plus my 1290.
The above is before considering how Garner and the new Norton treated customers who waited 5 years after giving deposits, refusing refunds, not answering calls, faxes, and e-mails. Personally, would not touch the stuff.
One thing I am curious about: do all the (faux)Dominators you see have chicken strips like those on that bike?
