Hello,

I came upon this article and as a Photobucket user, I'm waiting to get my email stating that I need to change to a $400/year paid account or loose the pics I have being hosted there.

I believe we are going to start seeing posts in Superduke.net with dead pictures' links. What other hosting website are you guys using?

If you come across a post with dead links, would you be so kind as to send the original poster a private message and let him/her know?

Thank you kindly,

I am sorry to say that I have been using that site and now I have heaps of dead pics in my "how to do it" posts AND I don't know what to do about it.
I tried to check my account and my screen was bombarded with add bullshit, it was so bad that I couldn't even see the pics I had uploaded - I hope the feckers go broke.
How do I fix this so my old posts still show pics?
Sorry but I'm not very good with this stuff!

I think you have to rehost on a new photo sharing site and then update your original threads with the new picture address.
Could be a long process to fix...
Such a shame as many many websites & forums will be hit, the home wrencher will lose lots of resources.

That would be a huge task because theres a lot of stuff there - what a shame - thanks to photofucket.
Their policy changes must make a huge difference to online content. I think superduke dot net is the best website on the planet because I am not bombarded with popup advertising every 2 seconds
its a ripoff for a lot of people………..

Man,

I frigging called it. One day after posting the original post, I got an email from Photofookit and my account is frozen.

I'll try to remove and merge the pics to another hosting site and hope to re-assemble my posts with embedded images.

This is going to make the site look like shit. Damn.

I wonder if it's worth not deleting all our PB accounts....

There is a chance that all the negative press could make PB reverse their decision in time. No harm in leaving your account intact on the slim chance I suppose, even though it would feel good to hit that delete account button...
