Power Parts Triple Clamp and steering dampers

Is the PP Triple clamp just good looking bling, or can you really notice the difference when riding? Can't fathom the catalogue marketing guff about less fork wear in the clamp area. I've read it does make a difference and that it just looks good, that it steepens fork angle for sharper turn in (not sure about that one?). So what's the verdict people?

Looking at better steering damper, have done the oil upgrade on original but looking for a bit more, do I go PP damper and clamps, a lot of $$ but looks cool, Scott damper, or better ideas?

Discuss....

assuming you are talking about the 1290 clamps... I spoke to the guy that raced Pikes Peak this year on the 1290 (I want to say he got second or third- british guy on an american magazine test bike) about mods made to the bike. He said the clamps made a difference in the handling and were worth the $$$.

I'll probably get the Rottweiler Performance Scotts Damper mount in the near future. I've used Scotts on many bikes and trust them implicitly. I'd rather go that route and have a known good damper instead of some no name rebadge damper. But that's just me.

sorry not much more help but just what feedback I had gotten. I haven't had mine to the track yet so will just leave it as is till I can see for myself what it needs.
