Just fitted a puig 7014F screen to the 1290 , was hoping it would help on long rides when riding into headwinds and ontrackdays so I had something to hide behind

Moral of the story Don't put a gay wind screen on a naked bike

I fitted the same screen, then added an additional flip screen on top of it that I had hanging about as all it did was shove the air up into my helmet - hated it and off it came - back to fully naked and the bike's so much better..

I will leave it on for the next ride and see how it goes.

I was planning to buy the Puig for my new 1290. But is sounds like I'll be bagging that plan Goes to show you how sensitive handling/steering can be to aero. Unless KTM sells one I guess I won't bother even trying. Ideally I would have liked a carbon fly screen that just tweaks the air flow a bit.

I notice that there are 8 positive reviews on revzilla with no mention of steering being affected. Hrrmmm??? Is that fishy? Could the original poster have had a tyre, or tyre pressure problem? Just a question.
