This year I'd like to do the ECU and Airbox(motohooligan) conversion to the SDR. My question is there appears to be a bit of frame that will be left unpainted after the OEM airbox is removed. Is this the case? If it is, how did the guys with the AM airbox resolve the problem?

mmmm, the entire frame is painted on all....I donĀ“t think there is an "unpainted" part of the frame anywhere

the whole frame is painted before the bike is assembled for corrosion protection not aesthetics... so I'm not exactly sure what the question is.

While you're in there I would just repaint it. This is what happens when you let the orange SDR paint fade Image

I've heard rumors about the frame being painted, like everything.. But I don't believe in it..
