Ok gents I need a favor

I'm in the process of getting the crap together to register my 1290 here in Japan. I need to know if the bikes sold in the US have the Euro 4 stamp on the exhaust

So please let me know if you guys have it, should be wheel side on the can itself. I can't check mine it does not avrive until August.

If you guys dont have that stamp I'm looking at 500,000 uwn in hauling and testing unless I come up with a can with that stamp.

I'm going to jump the gun here and go out on a limp by making an assumption...

Someone stateside will soon confirm.

If I remember correctly the sticker is on the band holding the can together. I'm sure you could source one if yours doesn't have one fitted

Just had a look at my '15 Australian model and it's E1.
I'll have a look over the weekend at the old '14 can I have somewhere.

The cat says e1 too btw, if they look at that you're in the poo!
You sure it needs to be e4?

I had a quick look and the e goes by country. e1 = Germany, e4 is Netherlands and Japan should be e 43.
So in a way it doesn't make any sense as in Europe Germany had the highest standards which my guess is why the manufacturers use it as it will comply everywhere else.
I think you might be in very murky waters on this as the Japanese tend to have funny laws regarding vehicles.
