What is the best option for the seat pillion on the Ktm superduke 1290r? Ktm hardparts one seems alright but it sounds like the finish is bad?I have seen a few carbons ones floating around but that seem to have a bad fit with the tail light and cost a lot. Any decals that can be put on it to freshen up the look? Lastly, can someone who has the cover let me know if a ball cap and be fit underneath it if the tool kits removed?

I guess I'll be the first to reply to your post, I have had mine for a week now and the fit is just as good as the original seat and the paint seems to be ok. At the moment I'm using a bike cover for my bike under my back porch and to keep the paint scratch free from the cover I use the rear seat and then replace it with the cowl when out.

Great to hear! Can anyone see if a ballcap can be fitted under the pillion?

The finish of the PP one is crap, scratches up really easy.
A few on here that have been painted or 3M Di-noc applied with good effect.
Cheap bit of plastic that KTM charge heaps for, on a brighter note it does fit well.

I think it looks great and it fits perfectly - matches the bike as it should (note) the "scratches on the side is simply a reflection of the sun - of course since the seat is covered the pillion pegs
are removed and the back cleaned up too

Steve, whose tail-tidy is that?
Does it keep the turn signals in the original position?
I'm asking because I use the PP Side Bags and there isn't much room for the signals to move forward but I'd love to get rid of the stock tail monster.
Thanks.
