In my SDR 09 EU owners manual its says:
Blink code 02: Pulse generator Malfunction
Blink code 06: Throttle sensor Output signal to low/high

Sincse there is no blink code 5 I think its the 06 one.

Edit:
In the 2012
990 Super Duke FR 990
Super Duke R EU 990
Super Duke R AUS/UK
990 Super Duke R FR manual it says:

Blink code of FI warning lamp (MIL)
15 FI warning lamp (MIL) flashes 1x long, 5x short
Error level condition
Rollover sensor (A/D type) - input signal too low
Rollover sensor (A/D type) - input signal too high

I was getting the soft 101 code when my battery was packing it in.
Also on start up dash would go blank got a new battery and all went back to normal.
Aso have you cleaned and greased the BGC ?
If not that is your problem.

I know a few of the guys are having
almost if not the same problem with their S.D.s..
As much as I know...which..I'm not a computer
or electronics wizard...but was wondering if taking these
bikes to a well know dyno guru might be able to find the
problem(s) easier..??? or..if...anyone knew a competent stealer.???
Like with Bassagents bike last weekend...
A lot of what generally anyone would suggest was done to his bike...
We did check the readings of the TPS sensor..but didn't see any
glitches on a volt meter even tapping on it didn't show anything..
WE DID do a minor adjustment to it and the problem temporarily
went away aside of stalling...WE took out the tip switch too...
Dialectric greased everything...Checked every conector and even
repaired a few prongs etc...
Swapped out Kowekillers tank just to eliminate a fuel pump issue...
Also even took out his PC3 and put a good Tune ecu map on it..
I really believe it's an electrical problem...somewhere...
Something we easily look past...
I'm stumped since I haven't really run into any major issues...yet..
hope I don't...
Waiting to hear more on these...
Main drivability problem..
Seems exactly same as your problems John
Hope that this wakes up someone here...
Damn forum's been dead lately...
WAKE UP..!!!

As dead as my piece of worthless shit KTM. Tyme and ryme again we hear the same issue.
I aint got the time or energy and especially knowhow to fuckaround with a bike that begs to be ridden and begs for garage tyme in the same manner.
I'd trade this in for something ninety nine percent less sterling if it would save me ninetynine percent less sterling to keep on the tarmac. The fuckingtank is going to expand to unrecognizeable shape before I get to run gas through it in the far future.
You know, down there where all that electrical gadgetry resides is where the piece of crap is acting up.
KTM, in thier engeneering expert ease decided that the fuckinweight needs to be low and now all the electrons are so fuckingclose to ground, they can taste it and leap right of the bike, swing down the overflow tube and make a beeline the the center of the earth.
I'm buying a bike with a Z or 1 or a S and dumping this pyle of BGC.
I hope that help you out.

I'm starting to feel like Dribble.... But there's no point in selling a bike that doesn't work :/

Ok just for the record some kind soul put the error codes up on this forum. If Bert had been around he would have pointed you to:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19051&p=226355&hilit=error+codes#p226355

Now assuming the tilt switch is actually Ok but is being reported as being faulty, in conjunction with the fact that your instruments seem
to be playing up (maybe I imagined that), doesn't that seem to point to a problem in the headlight wiring?

Lets just assume that the wiring has an intermittent fault with the tip over switch (as well as other things). What's going to happen - well
for a start the tip over switch will start to turn off the engine. Then it might think "Oh dear, its now Ok, no need to cut, I think I'll turn it on".
Same with instruments.

I'd be looking very closely at the wiring within the headlight. In particular the pins and sockets within the 12 pin connector but also the line
that goes to the Alarm LED (2 wires) which is necessary for instruments to light up and work (2007+).

Another very remote thought is ECU. I've never heard of anyone having a problem but it's possible. Even more possible to have a loose connection.

Edit: You mentioned roll over sensor removed a couple of months back. What do you mean? Totally removed or removed and replaced? If the former what
did you do to get the voltages correct? If was by resistor or some such is this where a problem might be?

When I had the shorai battery it was showing 13 volts using tune ecu but I could tell that there was Somthing not right.
I think one of the battery cells was dieing as on start up the dash would go blank and clock would stuff up also.
Once I got new battery it has been fantastic.
It would be good if you could try another battery just to make sure.
