I have my first oil change coming up and I'm curious how far can I rev the bike up after the service. I've read redline is 12,000 and others say ~10,250. What are you guys seeing?

I come from a history of 1,000cc sport bikes so I have a tendency to go high in revs. Any tips is appreciated.

Power stops at 9,000 rpm. I would be setting your "flashing" shift light at 8,500 rpm and the "solid" at 9,000 rpm. The engine spins up that fast your reaction to the flashing light will be at 9,000 rpm any way.
