SDR 2009 front end feel

Back in my second SDR now and still love them BUT:

It's doing something which I don't remember with the last one. At really low speeds, say turning slowly around a 90 degree corner, the front feels really heavy, like the tyre is super glued to the road. Doesn't want to turn and feels sticky.

All the suspension is set to standard Sport as recommended, but there's 12 mm of thread showing on the rear shock to compensate for my 99 kg. The tyres are new Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsas in correct sizes, 34 psi front and rear.

I'm wondering if the rear is still too low?? My last SDR was agile at all speeds and I'm not sure if this is just my imagination, but it feels weird...

Steering damper too tight?

Knackered steering bearings?

Just guessing as my '08 SDR behaves normally.

I've loosened it right off and then tightened it. No real difference. I'm guessing it's because it's too low at the rear, so I'll jack up the suspension preload. Can't think of anything else!
