Thanks MD. On the site you listed I saw a one piece section for 309 euro = $397USD. I think there is a tank section too, plus a seat and hardware. Adds up quick.

Adam is very nearly finished making the tail.
He has mine and thought it was done but wasn't happy with the final result so is making a few adjustments.
I'd wait a little if you can.

Thanks again, that's what I wanted to hear.

Do you think Adam can tweek the tail section so it will fit on the SD model also?

Sure would be trick to make it so it swaps out fast for solo and two up outings !

There are currenty no carbon race belly pans available for the SD. Wish there was! Lots of carbon replacements for the standard part. Keep us posted if one becomes available, I'll put my name down for one if the quality is right.

It's not easy to produce carbon parts to a high standard at a price that people will pay. There's so much hand construction and finishing required, it becomes very time consuming, I'd make my own if I had the time but I know I wouldn't be offering to make parts for other people. Carbon parts are just expensive and the cheap mass-produced stuff is nasty and often doesn't fit without a lot of work. Most of my carbon has been collected from e-bay over the years by just patiently waiting for second hand bits to appear. The SDR tail was the exception -I just had to bite the bullet on the three hundred Euros.

MDI has two belly pans listed on Toni's site,,,I think that the one for $350 "is" a race belly pan,,,would have to contact them as there is no photo available as of yet of that particular pan,,,
