Well i called the CO. today , unfortunately they took too long to get back to me... already bought DID chain and SuperSprox 41T rear sprocket. Here's the skivvy on prices :
Titanium 2 lifetime sprocket from Sidewinder 149 $ 41-t - the lifetime guarantee is no catch guarantee - any purchase of sprocket is lifetime guaranteed.
Their 10,000 525 chain 129.00 with that fancy du dad rubber rings that self lubricate ... i just paid 110. $ for a DID 525 pro street chain.
Wish Sidewinder would have called me back earlier !
cheers

What's a lifetime guarantee on a sprocket?
I mean, it does wear, doesn't it?
Why is it so expensive? I know sidewinder stuff should be quality and long wearing but still, 150$ per sprocket is insane..

If it's a full titanium sprocket it's a lot more expensive to produce than an aluminium or steel sprocket because of the harder production tools required or much more wear.
I do wonder how much the sprockets will wear over time because if the chain needs replacement and the sprockets are a little worn (still 'good' but not in factory specs) the new chain will be done much quicker.

Very bad reports on these over the other forums. Might not be true... But the stories are all eerily similar.
Put on bike.
Bent sprocket and stretched chain.
Told they installed them incorrectly.
No contact.

I've had bad experience with their customer service as well.
In fact still having it.
Ordered a full set (front/rear/chain) on the 3rd of may, received package on the 7th of July. It was an international shipment (US to Belgium) but still just over 2 months is a long time.
After unpacking everything I notice it was the wrong color chain and the rear sprocket was also for another bike. I had ordered in May to be sure to have everything before heading out to the alps for my vacation, so it was a major headache, seeing as my old ones were worn. So I had to go out and buy another new rear sprocket locally. The thing is, on their website they say that it is not advised to use the smartchain with anything other than their own Ti sprockets (they will most likely use this to rid themselves of any waranty claims as well).
I contacted the guy I had been dealing with for the order and shipping, explaining all this. Average response time has been about 2 weeks so far. They did promise they would send me a complete new set free of charge, but so far this has been but words. My last response from them dates from the 29th of July, nearly 6 weeks ago.
The quality of the product does seem to justif the price though. It's just not worth the pain of going through the order process.

Sidewinder's claims are bullshit and the guy/owner is a 'snake oil' salesman. Do not believe his ads....the only product he sells that would be worth a shit would be the tool steel rear sprocket as it would outlast the bike (may as well bolt a boat anchor to rear wheel)....anything else is just wild ass claims to get you to send him your hard earned money.
Never personally bought anything from him but you can tell after speaking to him on phone what he's all about.
You've been warned.
