Speedo accuracy?

Is it just me, is it because the engine makes easy power and seems to loaf along and the bike is really going as fast as indicated? It's almost like the speedo is reading more than 10% faster than what the bike actually feels like it is going. I'm pretty sure there is a bit of optimism in the readout but still........... How accurate are our speedometer readouts?

its a known issue that the speedo is inaccurate.

There are several threads on this, and 10% seems the average for both the speedometer and odometer reading high. You can find someone here that sells new rings that fixes it.
