Just testing the water here. Would any of you guys be interested in t shirts?
I've been working with my sponsors and we're almost there on gettin some run off. The main thing i'm working on is getting good quality t shirts that fit well and sit well when worn. I'm meeting a place tomorrow who sound like they have just the thing. Everything i've seen so far is really cheap and wont look good at all.
The plan is to sell these on my website . Once i post them out i'll make about £2 per shirt. It's not about the money. It's about having a bit of fun and getting the website and sponsors names out there. I am planning on doing competitons where guys send in pics in crazy locations with the shirt on. Try and get some pics in from all over the world, different tracks, race meets, desert, up mountains etc

time running around trying to get an XXXL posted to some dick on the other side of the world than making a profit . It'll be a major distraction for little
gain - probably loss. If you want to do something simple sell a sticker for a bike that reads something like "Official Gordon Wright Sponsor"
and sell them for GBP10. I'll buy one simply to support you but many probably won't put their money where their mouth is. - Bling, well that's different.
That's an interesting idea about the photos - I've got about 20 of myself taken in interesting parts of the world holding the take-away cup of a well
known coffee chain. The places are interesting but the pay-back was minute. The tragedy is I don't even get chicks saying "Oh its you. You're the guy

So about 10 guys would go for one. That'll prob do. For me, family and mates that'll make a run of about 30.
I'll let you all know if it comes to anything or ends up being too expensive. Like i said, they might not be the coolest most cutting edge design, but a part of all the deals made was to get shirts done with their logo on. Does the job.
I'm not on here all that much just now but i'll keep my website updated with goings on.
Dunno if anyone follows the series but Rece Rothwell on his 675 Triumph won both championships last weekend taking the A and over all Extreme Championships. Huge acheivement and he'll be back next year to defend his number 1 plate along with a good load of new guys moving over from other classes. Pumped for this already. It's going to be tight up at the sharp end. Lap records will be falling thats for sure.
I'm joining forces with Rothwell Racing for next year although we're keeping our seperate team identities. It's going to be mega!
Cheers.

To get the good quality t shirts and then screen printed to give a Powerwear standard of finish its going to cost over £1100 due to the numbers. Bitchez be crazy. I'm looking at about 60 shirts to start with. That's to cover you guys, mates and sponsors.
Got them looking for a cheaper option on shirts and print but I don't want to put out crap Gogo style wash once and bin type shirts. So if they're not up to scratch it'll be a no go. There may be another option where I buy say 100 prints then just supply them with the shirts when required. I've left it with a few companies so the balls in their court to get a deal worked.
I'll post up an let you know how it goes.

It's going ahead. Found a cracking little company to work with. Basic design is done. Few small changes to the original but basically the same.
The way it going to work is........
I'll put a t shirt section on the website that will link to their site which has a special little Wright Racing section. Everyone and anyone can buy the shirt from there. That works better coz then I don't have to put out big money and don't have the hassle of posting them all out. The clothing Co will do it all. And because I've paid a deposit and guaranteed a certain number of shirts as a start they will be priced right and discounted down. The best bit is the company will have a range of things they can logo. So you can have beanies, hoodies, polo shirts, t shirts, the whole shooting match.
Cool. Really chuffed with how this has worked out. All I need is for everyone to stand by their word and the guys who said they wanted one to go ahead and buy one or I'm up shit creek.

I've still not seen any in the flesh yet. Think my order is missing in the post.
We might have to tweak the design slightly to add a new sponsor on. But if it makes the price go up I'll just leave it out and try and give that company its publicity in another way.
Again. Any problems or questions throw me an email l through the website and ill get on it.

We've had to go ahead and change the design slightly. So all orders from now on will arrive with new tweaked design.
We added Coyotemoto.com to the back and aligned the other sponsors logos and moved Jim Allans to a sleeve. Small changes but keeps everyone happy.
Keep an eye on the website. The bodywork is back from paint in its new 2013 livery. It's a bit special. Nothing like last year but still has some very funky touches. It will be a good few weeks before LR Designs finalise all the decals and we got locations sorted. I'll post up a thread when it's totally finished. It needs so good pics in the sun to do it justice and sun in Scotland at this time of year is wishful thinking!

The idea is to get the website name out there and get more views which may potentially lead to more sponsorship or support as the season unfolds and there's more to write about than me attacking the bike with a grinder and trying to keep my head motivated by over analysing results. It's also a major factor in gaining the sponsorship I got for this year as the companies have their logo in more places than just a sticker on the side of the bike.
I'd rather have everyone getting the kit cheap than adding a few quid and putting the guys off buying it.
I always feel a bit weird taking donations off the working man as it's more companies that I'm trying to get involved. There is a donate button on the website on the right corner that folk can make contributions with through PayPal. Had a few small donations from anonymous supporters so far which requires really helps.
