Just completed my first 600 miles on a 17 SDR, will get track pack installed tomorrow, but from my testing with riding 2016 SDR and SD GT comparing to my new SDR'17, it seems that;
1. While small wheelies are enabled on 2016 models even with MTC on, the 17 wheelie control blocks all that, can't get even small hops
2. With MTC completely off, wheelies are still disabled ??? 2016 with MTC off goes up easy and my new 17 stays down, can it be that the new wheelie control in 2017 is enabled until disabled by the new track pack?

Would love to get more concrete data on that, I don't understand why KTM do not allow to disable/enable wheelie control as baseline
