Hey lads, anyone be able to tell me where the underseat charging point is for the battery on an 05/06? Lot of head scratching at the mo, cant see it anywhere. Was hoping to hook up my trickle charger without pulling off the undertray in future? Cheers Jay

The power lead under the seat is switched through the ignition. So charging the battery wouldn't be possible. Get a long lead with SAE connector and run it up under the seat. I can plug the charger in or connect my tankbag for more power options inside. Currently it connects to auxilary lights, just unplug and connect the batter charger when parked.

I had thought that Plimpton had his lead connected to the accesory fuse in the headlight mask,,had the plug tucked in with a peice of velcro or something,,he had some pic's if memory serves,,,have to do a search on here,,,

underneath the fuse box I found several 12v cables that where live all the time, checked it with my multimeter and I piggytailed the positive lead from my trickle charger there and the negative I got it from the chasis.....no probs so far

Cheers lads, was thinking as much. I'm gonna run a lead from the positive up under the seat and the negative from the frame. Cold weather and lack of riding in the snow here in Ireland is killing the battery. And bump starting a big twin aint easy
