It is time to change the coolant in my 1290. The bike came with a slightly pink colored coolant so I am sure it is not M3. M5 I believe is bluish.
The local dealer here only carries M5 as they seem to think that is what they should all have. I do not want to use a silicate based coolant in my bike
since the coolant in the bike now is more than likely silicate free. The other thing is I do not want to spend $24.00 for a litre of coolant, $100 for 4 litres yikes.
My question is, what coolant are you using or what do you plan on using when the time comes to change out the coolant?

The 1290 Owners Manual specifies M3.0 as the recommended coolant.
You have the most expensive Naked Bike on the market, except for a Monster 1200R or some soon-to-be-unsupported MV Agusta (now bankrupt) limited edition Brutale.
Is $25 for coolant too much?
Buy it online out of Ontario (and don't pay the PST) is that helps.

I'm using Engine Ice on my 990 and my Aprilia Scooter.
