Yoyodyne Slipper Clutch yeah or nay?

Hey Guys,
I'm thinking about getting a slipper clutch for my Duke in particular the Yoyodyne. The only thing stopping me is the price. I do plan on taking her to the track so I think it would be a good investment. For those that have purchased a slipper, would you do this mod again? How do you like the bike now that it has a slipper?

I put on a Suter clutch about four years ago. Second hand from a guy on this site. I think It was about £400. I was very sceptical about slippers because I'd ridden for decades without one and like blipping the throttle and matching revs to road speed. It's what riding fun is all about. But the experience was amazing. With the SD big engine braking it was often hopping its back wheel into roundabouts and bends and the slipper absolutely eliminated this trait. I have it set up so that I don't really notice it unless really going for it on the road but its a real benefiting track. I wouldn't go back to not having one. Probably the best mod I've made to the bike after the Motobox and Akras. Definitely recommended.

I still blip the throttle and ride like I used to nearly all the time. Habit. But the slipper saves me on sloppy downshifts and in extreme situations.

Thanks Bic! Your input is very valuable and I'm glad you're still an active member here. I still poke around every now and then. Gonna take my Duke to her first track day on August 30 at Sonoma Raceway.

Had mine from day one so have no experience of non-slipper SD/SDR but, compared to my non-slipper 996S, would definitely recommend.
