What's do you guys recommend in terms of service and update at the 20k mark?
My updates in blue

I pulled this list together, appreciate your guidance on - necessary diy/pay someone/don't bother

1) Transmission Engine Oil Filter Change:
Update: This was easy. Drain Oil Tank; Drain Engine; Replace oil filter (on left); clean screen (on right). Clean up the electric plugs on left while u're there.

2) Balancing Throttle Body: - Does anyone have a thing-a-ma-jig balancer I could borrow in the SF Bay area
Update: No change, Thanks Roger, I will take you up on this

3) Valve adjustment:
Update: Took a bit of courage. Followed instructions on ktm950.info and worked out fine. Finding a plug socket was a challenge. Next smaller challenge was finding TDC on rear cylinder. My bike doesn't have "x" marks on the cams. Just "o". Getting a feel for feeler guages.

4) Removing spark plugs:
Update: Challenge was finding a skinny plug socket that fit. Just wasn't going to drop $50 for a KTM one. Tried a few from HomeDepot & other toolkits but no dice.. Finally had someone grind down the hex edges of a one I had from an old Honda.

5) Fuel filter replacement? - How to do this?
Update: Skipped this for now.

6) SAS Blockoffs – What’s the point of this outside of getting rid of all that plumbing? Hasn't bothered me slow far.
Update: Yup too tempting given I had so much stuff off for the valve adjustments. Next step is to take out the Secondary flies and see it that helps smoothen out throttle between 3.5k & 4.5k

7) Suspension - Fork oil change? Rear shock service?
Update: Getting ready to do this. Does anyone know how much oil to get? Don't want to run out and don't want to add to the piles of junk I'm already storing in the garage. FYI, got this Motion Pro Fork Cap tool from Amazon.

8. Water pump - Do I replace the shaft, bearing, ...? How?
Update: Glad I changed the coolant and flushed everything out. The pump shaft seemed ok so leaving it alone for now. Might install the new kit the next time.

9) Brakes: Pads? - What came standard? What do you guys recommend replacing them with? Replace brake fluids front & back.
Update: duh! forgot about this .. now I've got something to do for next weekend

10) tyres - replacing my Bridgestone S20s with Dunlop Q3s (Set costs $260 + Tax - Includes installation & disposal fee)

11) Chain - my chain is leaving bite marks on the rear tyre. Is this accepted behavior? Is it due for replacement? What are most people replacing it with?
Update: Just adjusted slack and amazing how much it affects the ride quality. When the time comes I will be replacing it w/ a DID VM2; 41-tooth sprocket

12) Fuel map - I've got Akrapovic cans. The bike runs real rich spewing out strong gas fumes. Any recommendations on this?
