Step one, remove lower chin spoiler to expose connector. The nuetral light, 2nd and 3rd gear limiter connector is the one located to the far left with the black female mated to the white male end. The wire colors from the sensor (motorcycle side) are yellow with green tracer, green, and blue with a red tracer.

Unplug this connector and cut/unplug the yellow with green and blue with red. DO NOT remove / cut the green wire. This is your "N" light.

Tape off or isolate the two cut or unplugged wires on the motorcycle side. Here I just taped them off seperate from the other side of the wires I cut.

Finally tape up the remaining two cut wires and rest of the wire loom.

Reconnect the connector and install the lower chin spoiler. Enjoy full power in 2nd and 3rd gears

You can see that there is no way a dealer can detect that the wires have been cut unless they unwrap the tape. There will never be a need to reconnect the wires unless you grew a vagina and don't require the added HP.

I cut the wires because I'll never need them connected again, ever. The USA does not require this law, yet the wires are there on our bikes. They are probably on yours as well.

Honestly, you will probably not feel a difference as it only limited the throttle a few degree's at wide open in 2nd and 3rd. It might be too sensitive for the seat of the pants dyno

I thought ownership of a SD was a vagina eliminator. My bad.

(I cut my wires after I rode it home)

It's this thing:

I see there are sets that have handles like screwdrivers...so less risk of impaling the hand.

sooo...back from the dead...

I just picked up a SMR...does this mod apply to the SMR?

Was it ever confirmed that the Akra map negates the need to remove the wires?

Thx...
