One for old school owners.....................Just replaced rear header gasket on OE SDR and was thinking of replacing Akra Evo exhausts with round Akras from ex-race bike - never really liked 'em as a little too slabby and they just didn't seemed to sit right.

Vaguely remembered seeing photos of mounted Ti Evos on here though that looked much better particularly as exhausts were vertically symmetrical about center line of each exhaust - mine were rotated with line through baffle fixing bolt holes at circa seven and five o'clock, ie rotated from vertical.

Swopped exhausts over and achieved this:

So, now have Akra labels on 'inside' and the linear sleeve joint visible on 'outside' but mounted exhausts now look better/right.......................is this how they should be?

If you decide you want to go ahead with the can swap, let me know as my road SD has the round Akra cans and I prefer the look of the Evo cans on my track bike so I'm happy to do a swap if you like.

are they quieter with the baffles out than the round cans?
if so i'm also up for swaps but is the y pipe the same? + mine are not mint but were rebuilt with the KTM official baffle kits about 1k ago.. (PS I have finally stopped using the baffles you sorted me out with but I don't think the neighbours are best pleased lol)

Sorry just re-read this! You've already got some my bad

They look fine to me, even the round ones require a fair bit of fettling to get to sit just so..

Happier with the Evo's in new (wrong) position but loudness now a little irrelevant 'cos just fitted airbox mod and intake louder than intake.....

Guess Evo's are slightly less loud/bass than round Akra's, probably 'cos there's more packing.
