Just replaced the fuel pump with a low mileage pump (cheers Cheesie) 'refurbished' with the filter kit - but the pre-filter, different from the OE item, had too small an outlet diameter to slide onto the pump base inlet stub - anyone else had this problem or was it just me being stupid?

I warmed the new tea bag filter up a bit and then used much force to put it on. Worked.. Hope it will stay there.
